BJSS are through to the final of the Division Two playoffs.

BUKIT JALIL SPORTS SCHOOL (BJSS) qualified for the final of the Division Two playoffs when they defeated Nur Insafi 5-2 in the Milo Junior Hockey League match at the National Hockey Stadium Bukit Jalil.

The win also assured them promotion into Division One next season, a quick return to the top fight after being demoted last year.

Needing to win by three clear goals, BJSS went into the lead in the 8th minute through Mahathir Rathuwan.

But Nur Insafi was not going to make it easy and drew level 10 minutes later through Izaidi Ismail.

However Mohd Norshahrezan Mat Jusoh scored a brace through two penalty corners in the 25th and 33rd minute to give BJSS a 3-1 lead.

Needing another goal, BJSS redoubled their efforts and were rewarded as Muhd Fakhri Ardillah Saifullah made it 4-1.

With Nur Insafi scoring their second in the 57th minute via Nur Mushawwir Hrsikesa Thaitchana Muruthi, BJSS needed another goal to make it to the final and Muhd Fakri scored in the 61st minute to take them through.

“It was a team effort and I am glad that we met the objective to return to Division One after being demoted,” said BJSS coach S. Prakash.

“We need to prepare well for the knockout stages next week and a favourable draw can see us making the semis.”

BJSS earned RM2,000 as Group X champions with Olak-PKT receiving RM1,500 as runner-up.
