Hafizh Jerez Moto2 3

Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah has been utilising every free practice session to find his comfort zone with his machine in the fourth round of the World Championship (MotoGP) held yesterday in Jerez, Spain.

The PETRONAS Raceline Malaysia rider held on to 1:45.392s before making it to 1:45.386s in the second session to sit at 27th overall in both sessions.

“We tried different setups to lenghten the power band of my machine and although the time difference may not be obvious, there are improvements shown.

Today we will try different techniques and hopefully it would get me going,” said Hafizh.

For team manager, Barry Leong, he sees a great improvement in Hafizh in recent times especially now that all the riders are now going head to head in Europe, the base for most Moto2 riders.

“He is now getting more in tune with his bike and also the team. His feedbacks are now considered crucial and i hope he could fare better this time, he said.

The first day of free practice saw Esteve Rabat of Marc VDS Racing Team emerged the fastest rider with his time of 1:43.486s.
