More than 300 volunteers underwent an intensive seminar conducted by officials from the National Sports Council at the Perlis’ Youth and Sports headquarters.

The seminar is the second in a series planned to give volunteers from a cross section of Perlis society certain skills and knowledge they will need when they ply their services for the SUKMA XVI which the state will be hosting later this month.

Perlis will be playing host to the SUKMA for the first time ever on 24 May to 4 June with 24 sports on offer.

It is expected that over the course of the next several weeks, more than 5,000 athletes and officials will converge in Malaysia’s most northern state.
