Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2014 and gold sponsor, MSIG Insurance, are offering participants a one-day Personal Accident insurance coverage on Race Day which falls on October 12.
Named the Take It Easy KL Marathon Personal Accident (PA) Insurance, the product is specially designed for distance running with the objective of encouraging runners to protect themselves against any unforeseen circumstances on event day.
âAs the organiser of one of Kuala Lumpurâs most celebrated marathons, we have witnessed over the past years that many types of accidents can happen,â said Rainer Biemans, Director of Dirigo Events, event owner and organiser of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon.

The Take It Easy KL Marathon PA Insurance does not require any medical examination. For as low as RM3, runners will be able to purchase the basic cover online. The benefit of event cancellation will be given to runners who choose the Upgrade Plan for only RM5. This offer is limited on first come first served basis and must be purchased 30 days before the event day.
