* Red Warriors advance to last 16 with 2-1 win over the Crocs
* East Malaysia challenge in FA ends after Sabah lose 3-0 to Police

Sarawak’s jinx against Kelantan continued as the Red Warriors rebounded from their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Police at home in a Super League match with a 2-1 win in a second round FA Cup match at the State Stadium in Kuching on Friday to advance to the last 16.
The Crocs never recovered from conceding a second minute goal with lanky Australian Erwin Carillo hitting the target. Although Sarawak equalised on 30 minutes through Ryan Griffiths the visitors snatched the winner after 64 minutes through Emmanuel Kenmogne.
With Sabah well beaten 3-0 by suprise package Police at the Shah Alam Stadium, East Malaysia’s challenge in the FA Cup came to end. Police, who are going great guns in the Super League with impressive victories over defending champions Johor Darul Takzim (1-0) and Kelantan (4-0) after losing their opening match to Lions XII 5-3.
One man who has clicked in the Police side is none other than Mali Olympian Dramane Traore. Traore became the first player to score a hattrick in the Super League (in the defeat to Lions XII), took his personal tally to six goals with a brace against Sabah on Friday. He scored in a five minute spell which began on 40 minutes. Maldives national skipper Ali Ashfaq opened the scoring after 27 minutes.
At the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi hosts Negri Sembilan rode on a brace by Liberian striker Francis Forkey Doe to run 2-0 winners over UiTM FC. Doe’s goals came in the 21st and 81st minutes.
Super League strugglers Sime Darby FC finally hit form for a thumping 5-1 win over Penang’s Water Board Corporation at the USM Stadium in Penang. Serbian Nemanja Vidakovic was on fire with a hattrick with goals in the 11th, 23rd and 56th minutes. Dilshod Sharofetdinov (41st)and Marko Petrovic (54th) completed the rout.
At the City Stadium in Penang, MISC-MIFA edged Sungai Ara FC 1-0 with Fuzi Kadar heading home the winner in the 26th minute.
Premier League’s Kedah were fully stretched Terengganu’s Hanelang FC, a FAM League outfit, before winning 1-0 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu. Kedah can thank their up and coming Farhan Roslan for keeping the FA Cup hopes alive with the winner in the 35th minute.
In another second round match played in Bangi, former kingpins Kuala Lumpur ran out 3-1 winners over MOF FC. Shamirul Rani, Kalle Sone and Saufi Ibrahim were the scorers for the City Boys while Jufrey Omopor netted MOF’s consolation goal.
