Along with the equally prestigious Asian Formula Renault Series, Touring Car Series in Asia, Caterham Championship, the Asia Classic Car Challenge (ACCC) and the Formula Masters China Series has been incorporated as support races for the MCS, which enters its second round this weekend.
Entering its third year, the 2015 season will run for 18 races including three races this weekend and another three at the inaugural Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix at the streets of Kuala Lumpur from 7 to 9 August, FMCS said in a statement.
Apart from the Malaysia, the series will also make stops around China at Shanghai International Circuit from June 5 to 7, Penbay International Circuit, Chinese Taipei (3 ā 5 July), Zhuhai International Circuit (18 – 20 September) before returning to Shanghai from October 17 to 19 as the final round.

2014 runner-up Matthew Solomon of Hong Kong has graduated to the prestigious FIA Formula 3 European Championship, while Dan Wells, third in 2014, competed in last yearās blue riband Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix, the FIA Intercontinental Cup of F3. Former FMCS and Star Racing Academy driver Bao Jin Long currently competes in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, while Indonesian Andersen Martono made his debut in the series this past weekend. 2013 runner-up Afiq Yazid raced in the 2014 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series. 2013 champion Aidan Wright was selected to the 2015 FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy, an elite training programme. FMCS Best Chinese Driver Trophy winner in 2013, Pu Jun Jin, is now racing in the LMP2 category in the European Le Mans Series.

Each race weekend includes nearly five hours of time in the car, with free practice and qualifying on Friday, two races Saturday and a single race on Sunday to close out an action-packed weekend.
All drivers race identical Volkswagen-powered open-wheel cars ensuring a level playing field where true talent can shine, while every effort ā from centralized parts and logistics to a lease fee for the FMCS car ā is made to be financially conscious, and to provide the best value for money.
With a strong entry for the 2015 season, a few select seats are still available for young drivers and karters seeking the optimum training and development platform for their motorsport careers by competing against some of the most exciting junior talents in the region.
