The much-touted Harimau Malaya (Malaysian Tigers) were humiliated by half a dozen goals tonight when they were thrashed 6-0 by Palestine in the RUSSIA 2018, UAE 2019 JOINT QUALIFIERS tonight at the Bukit Jalil Stadium.
Following their disappointing 1-1 draw against Timor Leste a few days earlier, there were expectations that the Malaysians would rebound against Palestine.
But this was not to be as a spirited Palestine side humiliated not only the Malaysian team on the field but also the loyal fans who supported them from the stand.
Musaab Al Battat opened account after nine minutes as Sameh Al Maraaba (23rd and 75th) and Tamer Sayam (41st and 85th) grabbed a brace each.
Khader Youssef scored the other in the 63rd minute.
