The 7th edition of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup will be played in Changzhou, where defending champions China will play host.

Malaysia has taken part in 4 editions of this tournament and finished 5th each time Malaysia will have the services of six players who featured in the SEA Games and are looking to put on a better performance compared to the previous editions.

The Mighty Princess took part in the Junior Asia Cup held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1992), Shirane, Japan (1996), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2000), Seremban, Malaysia (2008) and Bangkok, Thailand in 2012.

The Women’s Junior Asia Cup is a qualifying tournament for the Women’s FIH Junior World Cup.

Malaysia has a chance for qualifying to the FIH Junior World Cup which takes place from the 26th of November to the 4th of December 2016 in Santiago de Chile, for the first time, if they finish in the top 3.

The Mighty Princess has undergone 3 phases of training prior to the competition and will depart on Wednesday 2nd of September 2015.
