# Zi Heng-Wooi Yik fall in the semis in men’s doubles
Malaysia’s campaign in the SCG Badminton Asia Junior Championships at the CPB Badminton and Sports Science Training Center in Bangkok came to an end after the completion of the semi-finals on Saturday.
Sixth seeds Ooi Zi Heng-Soh Wooi Yik failed to into the men’s doubles final after their 15-21, 17-21 defeat to China’s third seeds Han Chengkai-Zhou Haodong in the semi-finals in 31 minutes.
It will be an all-China final in the men’s doubles against top seeds He Jiting-Tan Qiang who eased past compatriots Fan Qiuyue-Ren Xiangyu 21-10, 21-16 in 25 minutes.
The men’s final will see Taiwan’s seventh seed Lee Chia Hao take on China’s eighth seed Sun Feixiang. Chia Hao prevented an all-China final when he snuffed out Liu Haichao in a hard fought 21-14, 16-21, 21-17 match which lasted 63 minutes.
Earlier Feixaing stopped India’s hope Lakshya Sen in straights with a 21-12, 21-16 win in 43 minutes.
Indonesia’s Gregoria Mariska booked her place in the women’s singles with a 21-13, 13-21, 21-10 win over China’s Gao Fangjie and in the final exacted sweet revenge on the Chinese for her defeat in last year’s junior world championships in Lima, Peru in the quarter-finals.
The Indonesian lass will face another Chinese hurdle in Chen Yufie who had a free ride into the final after South Korea’s Kim Ga-eun conceded a walkover due to a thigh injury.
The mixed doubles saw Korea’s Kim Won-ho-Lee Yu-rim pull of an upset 21-17, 22-20 win over third seeds Rinov Rivaldy-Apriani Rahayu to advance to the final against top-seeds He Jiting-Du Yue of China. The Chinese won 21-14, 21-12 against compatriots Zhou Haodong-Hu Yuxiang.
