The Indonesian national Under-16 team scored a psychological win over their counterparts from the Philippines this week when they beat the latter 4-0 in a friendly.

In the game that was played at the Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman, Rendy Juliansyah nailed the opener after just three minutes to put Indonesia in total control and in no danger of losing the plot playing at home.

Brilyan Nigietha then nailed a double in the 10th and 22nd minute of play for the score to stand at 3-0 to Indonesia’s advantage.

Hamsah Lestaluhu then grabbed the fourth goal of the game in the 55th minute as Indonesia remained steadfast to the end.

The team is being prepared for the AFF Under-15 Championship which will be played in Chonburi, Bangkok on 9-22 July 2017.
