AEON on Friday (11 Aug 2017) joined the Kuala Lumpur 2017 family as Silver sponsor, the fourth international company to join the Games which starts exactly in a week’s time.

AEON became the third Japanese company after Ajinomoto and Sony to collaborate with the Malaysia Organising Committee (MASOC) KL2017, earning them the rights as the Games “Official Credit Card and Retail Partner”.

Besides cash and marketing support, AEON will provide items for the VIP and athlete lounges as well as the official fleet.

The sponsorship ceremony was officiated by Chief Executive Officer of MASOC secretariat, Dato’ Sri Zolkples Embong and witnessed by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Datuk M. Saravanan, Chief Operation Officer of MASOC Secretariat En. Shaiful Subhan Zahrin and AEON Credit Service Berhad Managing Director, Mr. Kenji Fujita.

Datuk Saravanan, in his speech said: “We are delighted to have AEON, the biggest retailers from Japan, on board. AEON is the fourth international company to join the KL2017 sponsor team.

MASOC also welcomed 18 bronze sponsors which will be contributing cash and in-kind such as sports equipment and services for the Games.

The companies announced in the ceremony today include: Molten (Asia Pacific), Mikasa (Sunrise & Co), Victor, Marathon, Double Happiness, Nittaku, Maxwin (Perfect Companion), Medilife, Gloria Jeans, Wiraka, Sunstar, La Martina, MRCB, Maju Group, Maha Mas, Ottobock, JVC Kenwood (Mal-Tel Communication) and Trybes.

“The amount of sponsorships that we received for KL2017 is simply overwhelming and has surpassed our target of RM80 million. Kudos to MASOC for your success in signing up renowned companies with international operations to participate in KL2017!” he added.

Fujita, meanwhile said: “We are pleased to sponsor yet another grand sporting extravaganza like SEA Games which is the region’s biggest multi-sport event.”

AEON SYARIKAT JEPUN KETIGA SERTAI KL2017

AEON Group of Companies menjadi syarikat ketiga dari Jepun yang menyertai Kuala Lumpur 2017 sebagai Penaja Perak dan mendapat hak sebagai “Rakan Rasmi Kredit Kad dan Peruncitan” temasya.

AEON, merupakan syarikat ketiga selepas Ajinomoto dan Sony yang tampil berkolaborasi dengan Jawatankuasa Pengelola Malaysia (MASOC) KL2017 bagi menjayakan temasya Sukan SEA ke-29 dan Sukan Para ASEAN ke-9.

Selain wang tunai dan sokongan pemasaran, AEON menyediakan barangan berjenama Topvalu yang akan diletakkan di ruang tamu kenamaan dan para atlet. 

Majlis penajaan dirasmikan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Sektretariat MASOC, Dato’ Sri Zolkples Embong dan disaksikan Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan YB Datuk M. Saravanan.

Turut hadir Ketua Pegawai Operasi MASOC, En. Shaiful Subhan Zahrin dan Pengarah Urusan AEON Credit Service Berhad, Encik Kenji Fujita.

Datuk Saravanan, dalam ucapannya berkata:”Kami amat gembira dapat bekerjasama dengan syarikat peruncitan terbesar dari Jepun untuk menjayakan KL2017.”

Fujita, pula amat gembira dengan penyertaan buat pertama kali dalam temasya pelbagai sukan yang besar seperti Sukan SEA.

Sementara itu, MASOC turut mengumumkan penyertaan 18 penaja di bawah kategori gangsa yang turut menyumbang dalam bentuk wang dan barangan bagi KL2017.

“Jumlah penajaan yang kami terima bagi KL2017 amat menggalakkan dan melebihi sasaran RM80 juta yang telah kita tetapkan. Penajaan ini sudah tentu akan menjadi faktor penyumbang kepada kejayaan penganjuran Sukan SEA,” kata Datuk Saravanan.
