Shan United FC picked up their first ever General Aung San Shield when they beat Yangon United 2-1 in the final that was played at the Aung San Stadium.
The win has also allowed Shan to earn a place at next yearâs AFC Cup.
It took a while but midfielder Djawa Djedje Maximin of Ivory Coast finally broke the deadlock right before halftime for Shah United as striker Chizoba Christopher then doubled the advantage in the 56th minute.
Yangon United managed to pull a goal back at the hour through Ceazar Augusto but it was too late for a revival.
