Colombia’s Egan Bernal of Team Sky clinched the gruelling, mountainous third stage of the Tour de Romandie in Switzerland on Friday while Slovenia’s Primoz Roglic kept hold of the yellow jersey.

Bernal, 21, made his move on the final climb of the 9.9km time-trial to finish four seconds ahead of Roglic and 18 seconds in front of Australia’s Richie Porte of the BMC team.

In the overall standings, Roglic has a six-second advantage over Bernal and 27 seconds over Porte.

The penultimate fourth stage of the 72nd edition of the race takes place on Saturday around Sion with five climbs. – Agence France-Presse
