One of the most famous football clubs in the country, still remembered by many in the football fraternity, Hong Chin FC’s grand scale anniversary celebrations include a dinner which will be held on July 21.

The dinner will be held at the Oriental Pearl Restaurant at Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club on Saturday, 21st July 2018, at 7.00 pm.

Organising spokesman Michael Yei said 150 persons, including famous veterans and football personalities who made a name for themselves in the sport with Hong Chin FC, have confirmed their attendance.

Among them are Dato Santokh Singh, Dato Dina Rizal (Mr. Milo), Yip Chee Keong, Abdullah Ali, John Engkatesoo, Peter Ambrose and Reduan Abdullah and many others.

Some of the Hong Chin stars were Engkatesoo, Abdullah Ali, Yip Chee Keong, Peter Ambrose and later even the late Chow Chee Keong and Ong Yu Tiang. They were all Selangor and national stars.

“Those days even to be called for selection trials for Selangor and Malaysia was a great thing,” said Michael Yei.

“This year’s celebration event is the biggest to-date although Hong Chin FC has its annual gathering to come together to touch base, renewable of friendships as well as reaching out to those who we have not met for a long time,” said Michael Yei.

Also included in this year’s anniversary celebrations is a Futsal tournament this Saturday, (14th July) and it will be held at NPNG SPORTS CENTRE, Jalan PJU 10/1a, Damansara Damai, 47830, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
