# FA Cup final on July 7 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil

Pahang marched into their second successive FA Cup final by knocking out PKNP (Perak SEC) 3-2 on aggregate after the return-leg at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh ended with a 2-1 win for the Elephants.

The first-leg at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

This year’s FA Cup final will be played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on July 7. Selangor reached the final on Saturday 5-1 on aggregate against PKNS FC after a 1-1 draw in the return-leg at the Shah Alam Stadium.

Pahang coach Dollah Salleh fielded a strong side for the return-leg in Ipoh with the return of his three “pillars” from suspension. The trio, skipper Mathew Davies (defense), midfielder Nor Azam Azih and utility man Safuwan Baharudin, a Singapore international.

The visitors opened the scoring on 32 minutes through Austin Amutu before former international Norshahrul Idlan Talaha took the tally to 2-0 with a well-executed lob over PKNP goalkeeper Asyraaf Omar from an assist from Mohamadou Sumareh.

PKNP reduced the deficit in the 82nd minute from the penalty spot which was converted by Franklin Anzite after Safuwan was hauled up for hands.

On a wet and slippery pitch, Anzite again had the ball in the net in added time but he was ruled offside as Pahang clinched a 2-1 win. RIZAL ABDULLAH
