Philippines falter to Club Hidd

The Philippines national side failed to build on their positive start to their tour of the middle east when they faltered to Bahraini club Hidd 3-2 in their second friendly that was played on the weekend.

The Philippines, who are preparing for the AFF Suzuki Cup in November, had began their stint with a 1-1 draw against the Bahraini national side.

But they would find Hidd a little more hard going despite getting on to the scoresheet through Curt Dizon and Patrick Reichelt.

For the AFF Suzuki Cup, the Philippines are in Group B against defending champions Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and also Timor Leste.
