Whether it was a sign of the level of their confidence or simply trying to mess with the minds of his opponents, Thai goalkeeper, Chatchai Bootprom, said this to his rivals: “I wish the Malaysian team a good night, because tomorrow will be a nightmare.”

Chatchai, who turned in a massive performance in the first leg where he stopped the Malaysians from scoring, declared this at the pre-match Press Conference this afternoon.

“In the first game Malaysia did very well, they put us under a lot of pressure. But tomorrow, it will be different, Malaysia will know that this is Thailand, this is the War Elephants land,” said the 31-year-old Chatchai, who plays for Chiangrai United.

Chatchai admitted that it will be tough as the fans had high expectations for the team. “I’m not going to lie, honestly we can feel the pressure. But I feel comfortable and I will do my best.”

While the fans are expecting success tomorrow, he hopes they will also continue supporting them under all circumstances. “We know the thai fans are behind us, even if sometimes we do something wrong. Please support us, because everyone is tired after the long league over 10 months, so please support us.”
