The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has signed a 4-year media rights agreement with Bleacher Report Live (2019-2022) for the territories of Canada and the USA.

The deal with the USA is a renewal after a successful 2018 partnership with FIH whereby Bleacher Report Live broadcasted both World Cups and Champions Trophies, Men and Women.

For Canada, it is a new partnership after the platform launched in the North American country towards the end of last year.

Bleacher Report Live is operated by Turner Sports, a division of WarnerMedia. The platform, which is Turner’s live sports streaming service, will be the primary destination for all FIH content, including the FIH Pro League, which kicked-off on 19 January.

FIH CEO Thierry Weil said: “After a successful start of our cooperation last year, FIH is very pleased to enter into a 4-year partnership with Bleacher Report Live. This shall help us make our sport more visible in North America. This is an important step for the growth and development of hockey.”

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with FIH as we collaborate on creating a vibrant platform for its loyal and passionate fan base to watch the entirety of the season,” said Hania Poole, GM of Bleacher Report Live.

“We look forward to creating a great experience for FIH fans throughout this new multi-year agreement.”national teams on their way to the Olympics 2020 and beyond.”
