Former kingpins of Malaysian football Selangor suffered a humiliating 4-0 beating at the hands of PKNS FC in the “Battle of Siblings” in the only Super League match played at the Shah Alam Stadium on Sunday.

The Red Giants, winners of the Malaysia Cup a record 33 times, were left winless after three matches in the elite league this season and are placed eighth with only two points while PKNS moved to fifth on four points.

Kedah top the league on goal difference with Pahang second, Johor Darul Takzim third and Melaka United fourth – all bunched on seven points each.

Selangor goalkeeper Khairul Azhan Khalid was first beaten after 27 minutes by a power-packed header by Nicholas Swirad off a corner by Chan Vathanaka.

It was a nightmare second half for the former national custodian who had to pick up the ball again in the 49th and 79th minutes.

Former Petaling Jaya FC (MIFA) striker, Liberian international Kpah Sherman made it 2-0 for PKNS with a cheeky lob before Cambodian international Vathanaka took the tally to 3-0.

It did not end there as PKNS made it 4-0 for the night with Romel Morales getting his name into the score sheet with a rising shot into the roof of the Selangor net.
