A wonder strike from Wander Luiz gave Becamex Binh Duong a well fought 1-0 win over Viettel in the fourth round match of the Wake-up 247 V.League One.
The abrupt departure of head coach Tran Minh Chien failed to trouble Binh Duong as the team rallied to their second win in as many matches.
They had beaten Myanmarâs Shan United 2-1 in an AFC Cup tie in Yangon.
The battle was close as both teams remained tied at the end of the first half.
It was not until the 67th minute that Wander Luiz nailed the opener for Binh Duong when the Brazilian looped the ball over goalie The Tai.
The win pushed Binh Duong to fourth at the table behind Hanoi, HCM City and Hai Phong.
