There is just a month to go before the third and final men’s FIH Series Final takes place in France, with two further teams hoping to add their names to the list of nations heading to the FIH Olympic qualifiers.

At the same time, two more women’s teams will also be hoping that the Hiroshima event will be just an early taste of playing hockey on Japanese soil as they strive to continue their journey towards Tokyo 2020.

The men’s competition will be a fascinating encounter between some established teams who have recent Olympic and World Cup experience and other nations for who this will be a huge step onto the international stage.

In Hiroshima the teams face a similar situation. Two teams – India and Japan – both competed, with some great results, at the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup, London in 2018. For Fiji, this will be a first appearance at a major international event.
