The race leader Valerio Conti said: “It was very rainy for me but I stayed calm. My goal was to keep the Maglia Rosa so I’m very happy with the result. I only thought of Carboni who was next on GC but eventually Roglic took a lot of time on me. He’s a great rider but I’m glad I can still enjoy the Maglia Rosa.”
