#PETRONAS Sprinta Racing rider will undertake his second race for the Malaysian team at the Dutch GP.

PETRONAS Sprinta Racing rider Jonas Folger is aiming for progress in his second race as stand-in for the injured Khairul Idham Pawi at this weekend’s Dutch GP.

After his first experience with the team’s Kalex at the Catalan GP, the German rider is aiming to continue taking steps forward at Assen for the eighth round of the Moto2 World Championship, in the Netherlands.

Folger has finished inside the top ten at six of the nine races he has contested at the Dutch track, with his best result a sixth place in Moto3 in 2013.

In addition, the German undertook a positive test in Barcelona after the Catalan GP, where he was half a second faster than during the race weekend. The goal for the PETRONAS Sprinta Racing rider at Assen will be to pick up points on Sunday.

#94 Jonas Folger
“I like Assen a lot; it’s a very nice circuit and many German fans come there. The atmosphere is always very special. It’s not one of the most complicated tracks, but it has a different character to the other circuits. It will be interesting to see what happens there. We don’t know how much we are going to have to improve the bike or continue adapting my riding, but I think we have worked a lot to find improvements. The test in Barcelona was very important for us, to boost my confidence and help me adapt to this bike. We can expect a good result in the Netherlands.”
