It is a close battle going into the final stretch of the Myanmar National League (MNL) 2019 with at least three teams including defending champions Yangon United still in the running for the title.

The city side currently sits at the top of the table with 30 points from 15 matches played while second placed Ayeyawady United are second with the same number of points but having played a match more.

And this week, Yangon edged Zwekapin United 1-0 as Ayeyawady also overcame their opponent Dagon FC with the same scoreline.

On third is Shan United with 29 points from 15 matches as they kept up the pressure at the top of the MNL with a 3-1 home win over Hantharwady.
