A late strike from striker Ketsada Souksavanh gave Lao Toyota FC a thrilling 1-0 win over Young Elephants FC in a top of the table Lao Premier League clash last night.

In the match that was played at the National Stadium, Ketsada broke the deadlock late in the 88th minute of play to settle the score as Lao Toyota opened up a three point lead at the top of the standings.

Defending champions Lao Toyota have amassed 22 points from nine matches played and with a game in hand over second-placed Young Elephants.

The Young Elephants remained on second in the standings with 19 points from ten matches played.
