The other goals for Myanmar were scored by Khaing Thazin in the 17th minute, Khin Moe Wai (45th), Win Thingi Tun (66th) and then captain Khin Marlar Tun (76th).
âWe missed some scoring chances as the team did not settle down well,â said Myanmar head coach Win Thu Moe. âWe need to improve combination play but other than that, it was a good start.â
Replied Indonesia head coach Rully Nere: âthe early goal disturbed us. We tried to match them but we had some injuries and we struggled somewhat.â
In the second game, Vietnam pressured Cambodia from the get go and captain Hunyh Nhu found the back of the net early in the third minute before Cambodia conceded an own goal as a minute later off defender Sen Sreymeat.

âCambodia is a young team and they tried hard but we stick to our system and we managed to score eight goals,â said Vietnam head coach Mai Duc Chung. âBut the second half, Cambodia changed to be defensive and that gave us just two goals.â
Added Cambodia head coach Oum Savong: âwe know that it will be a tough game against Vietnam. In the first half, we were nervous. But we improved in the second and did much better.â
