The Indonesia national Futsal team made a smashing start to their MNC Futsal Championship 2019 opener when they blasted Chinese Taipei 7-0 at the GOR UNY here in Yogjakarta.

With the first goal of the game coming in at just 15 seconds through captain Andri Kusitiawan, Indonesia were in firm control as the latter then added his second barely a minute later.

Ardianysah then made it three goals in three minutes as Indonesia made sure they were comfortable 5-0 in front at the break through further goals from Rio Pangestu (14th minute) and then Syauqi Saud (15th).

Chinese Taipei finally showed up in the second half but Indonesia were just in their zone as they added two more goals off Ardiansyah in the 35th minute and then Andri completing his hat trick three minutes later for the final 7-0 win for the hosts.

In the meantime, Uzbekistan pummelled KL City FC from Malaysia 9-0 in the match that was played earlier.

With a highly experimental KL City FC side taking to the field, they were no match for the polished side from Uzbekistan as the latter slammed in four goals inside the first half through Khusniddin Nishnov (1st minute) Akbar Usmonov (11th), Ihtiyor Roplev (17th) and Sunnatila Juraev (18th).

Uzbekistan then added five more goals after the break off Dilmurod Jumaev (23rd) Dilshod Rakhmatov (25th) Davron Choriev (32nd) Roplev (34th) and Abdullah Solikhov (35′).

In the next round of matches tomorrow, Uzbekistan will take on Indonesia as KL City FC will play Chinese Taipei.
