Thailand made it all square in the Futsal test series against Japan this week when they fell to a 3-1 loss to the Asian No.2 in Aichi.

After scoring a 2-1 win in the first friendly in Niigata, Thailand were under pressure to keep up the winning form as against a home side determined to put up a better showing.

And it was Japan who found the opener just four minutes into the game off Kaoru Morioka before the irrepressible Muhammad Osamanmusa levelled up for Thailand with a minute left of the first half to put the score at 1-1.

But the Samurai Five tightened up their game into the second half to score two more goals off a brace from Shota Hoshi (36th and 40th minute) for the win.

Thailand are using the Japan tests as part of their preparation for the AFF Futsal Championship 2019 next month in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The AFF Futsal Championship is also the qualifiers for the AFC Futsal Championship 2020 with the top three making the grade.
