For most, deciding to eat healthier and get in shape is easy. The hard part is navigating the wide range of “wellness” trends and diet fads and ultimately sticking to those personal goals.

To make the fitness space easier to navigate, Under Armour has developed an ecosystem of Connected Fitness apps to help athletes get better with holistic support – MapMyRun and MyFitnessPal help athletes track and analyze their fitness and nutrition activity.

Under Armour’s MyFitnessPal app is a tool designed to help users manage food consumption and exercise routines, based on the goals they’ve identified. Users are given a personalized experience that outlines benchmarks and determines the necessary caloric intake and activity needed to achieve them.

MyFitnessPal now offers Plans, one of the most requested feature; 82% of MFP users stated they would use a “plans” features. MyFitnessPal Plans will act as the ultimate fitness and nutrition guide for users. Users will be prompted to select plans each designed to make their nutrition and fitness journey as easy as possible such as:

·       Building Healthy Habits
·       High Protein
·       Reaching Your Calorie Goal
·       11,000 Steps a Day

“We saw that our users were immensely successful at hitting their goals when they attentively logged their food and exercise into the MyFitnessPal app. MFP Plans removes the complexity of dieting and nutrition for users and gives them doable, easy to follow day-to-day instructions. This will lead to greater user success in meeting goals, ” quotes, Michael La Guardia, Senior Vice President, Digital Product at Under Armour.

Each plan is specific to the goal a user selects and, through the use of various in-app features, will help the users stay on track to meet that goal. The plans vary in length and intensity, and arm users with a multitude of tools, tips and tricks to meet users’ goals. They were developed in consultation with Under Armour’s Human Performance and Nutrition experts.

The new MFP Plans are now available for premium subscribers (with select plans available for non-premium users). Users can go to the app store to download the MyFitnessPal app to begin their wellness journey today.
