With just two matches to go to the end of the Toyota Thai Premier League 2019 season, it is down to three teams who can win the keenly-contested title this year.

Defending champions Buriram United are chasing their third title in a row and eighth in their history (2008, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018) have picked up 54 points from 28 matches played.

In their last two matches of the year, the North Eastern side will take on second-placed Port FC at home and then bottom side Chiangmai FC away.

For Port – two points behind on 52 from the same number of matches played – after entertaining Buriram away at the Thunder Castle, they will be home to sixth-placed Samut Prakan FC at the PAT Stadium.

On third is Chiangrai United – also on 52 points – where they will have a toughie at home against Prachuap FC, the newly crowned winners of the Thai League Cup 2019.

They will finish the season with a match against Suphanburi FC, currently 13th in the league, on the road.

It will be close indeed this year and it is anybody’s call as to who will lift the crown come 26 October 2019.
