Felda United Men’s team survived East Coast Heat FC with a 4-1victory in the AFF Bangkok Futsal Club Championship 2015 as MIC FC from Myanmar put up a battling performance to hold Sanna Khanh Hoa FC to a 1-1 draw.
Muhammad Akmal Yazadh Amri gave Felda the lead after just three minutes as Jordan Aaron Guerreiro then replied for the Australians a minute later.
The Malaysians finished the first half 2-1 on top with Qaiser Heshaam Abdul Kadir blasting in from close range.
East Coast then turned up the heat into the second half as Felda men played it defensive before countering with two goals right at the end through Mohd Firdaus Ambiah (37th and 40th minute).
N THE MEANTIME, MIC FC put up a battling performance to hold Sanna Khanh Hoa FC of Vietnam to a 1-1 draw in the last game of the day.
Both teams were not willing to commit too much at the start as the score remained unchanged at the end of a pulsating first half.
After the break, Sanna Khanh Hoa stepped up a gear for Khong Dinh Hung to score as MIC then regrouped in search of the equaliser.
With ten seconds remaining and just when Sanna Khanh Hoa thought that they had the three points in the bag, a well taken shot from the right off Kyaw Soe Moe saw the ball taking a deflection from Tran Van Thanh and into goal.
