The Asian Tour has signed an agreement with Cignal TV to broadcast the 2016 Resorts World Manila Masters ‘live’ in the Philippines this November.

Cignal TV, a subscription-based Direct-To-Home satellite television service provider, will deliver all the action from Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club to its over one million subscribers. The event will be aired on Cignal TV’s active lifestyle channel, Hyper (channels 53 [SD] and 130 [HD]).

The live broadcasts of the US$1 million Asian Tour event, which is the richest golf tournament in the Philippines, will begin on Thursday, November 10, through Sunday, November 13.

The full-field Asian Tour event, which was inaugurated in 2013, will feature home-grown talents such as Miguel Tabuena, Angelo Que and Antonio Lascuna as well as the best players from across the region.

Asian Tour Commissioner Kyi Hla Han said: “We are delighted to announce a broadcast partnership with Cignal TV who will endeavour to broadcast the Resorts World Manila Masters live or delayed live during the tournament week.

“Cignal TV has also agreed to broadcast several other Asian Tour events for the remainder of our 2016 season including the Shinhan Donghae Open, BNI Indonesian Masters presented by Zurich, Venetian Macao Open and UBS Hong Kong Open. This is another boost towards our goal to expand our TV broadcast internationally.

“In addition, highlights of the above tournaments will also be broadcast on Aksyon TV which is part of Cignal TV.”

Thai rookie Natipong Srithong landed his maiden Asian Tour victory after securing a thrilling one-shot win over South African Jbe Kruger last November. It was only his fourth start as a professional golfer.

The Resorts World Manila Masters also celebrated worthy winners in China’s Liang Wen-chong, who claimed a pulsating play-off triumph over Thailand’s Prom Meesawat in the inaugural edition, as well as veteran Mardan Mamat of Singapore, who marched to a stylish six-shot success in 2014.

Resorts World Manila Masters partners include Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, Marriott (Official Hotel Partner) and supported by Aristocrat, IGT, Konami, Scientific Games, Empire Automation, LJ Industries, Levelwear, RGB LTD, PLDT Alpha and Srixon.
