# Red Warriors pick Devan as new coach
# Kelantan axe three and bring three for new season
Former Negri Sembilan coach K. Devan is on the move again – this time to Kelantan as the new chief coach of the Red Warriors for the 2016 M-League season.
The “Nomad Coach” was announced by Kelantan FA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa as right man to plot the East Coast state’s miserable season this year and finished empty handed.
Kelantan finished ninth in the Super League, were runners-up in the FA Cup and failed to qualify for the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals.
For the record Kelantan won a treble in 2012 – winning the prestigious Malaysia Cup, the FA Cup and the League Cup in one season.
At the same function Annuar Musa announced that three players from this year’s squad have been dropped for the new season. They are Ahmad Fakri Saarani, Amar Rohidan and Fitri Omar.
They will be replaced by former internationals Muslim Ahmad and Manaf Mamat and Faizal Abu Bakar,
Devan is a widely travelled coach having had stints with Selangor, Johor FC, Penang but his homestate Negri Sembilan’s fared badly in all competitions this season.
A sixth place in the lower-tier Premier League saw Negri Sembilan failing to make the Malaysia Cup competition.
