* N.Sembilan and Johor win Under-18 singles titles
* KL big winners with six titles
Johor’s hopes of winning the “coveted” Under-18 singles titles in the Boys’ and Girls category for a double in the 100PLUS National Junior Badminton Circuit Zone B which ended in Putrajaya on Sunday were dashed by Negri Sembilan.
Negri’s Chen Tang Jie staved off a strong rally by Johor’s Leong Wei Lun in the Boys’ Under-18 final with a 23-21, 21-18 win in 30 minutes. Johor, however, took home the Girls’ Under-18 singles title through Yap Yee who outplayed Kuala Lumpur’s Too Shen Yee with a 21-10, 21-11 win
Negri also added the Boys’ Under-18 doubles title. The title was Negri’s for the taking as it was an all-Negri Sembilan final. Chen Jia Huo-Chen Tang Jie defeated compatriots Ng Yun Yan-Wong Wai Yun in a come from behind 17-21, 21-13, 21-13 win in 35 minutes.
The Girls’ Under-18 doubles title was won by Kuala Lumpur’s Loh Bao Ying-Nur Johanna Adryana Saha who defeated Wong Kelly-Yap Yee of Johor 18-21, 21-12, 22-20 in tough 50 minute battle.
Overall, Kuala Lumpur were the big winners with six titles while Johor, Negri and Malacca won three each and Pahang one.
