
Malaysia battled Myanmar to a 3-3 draw in their first game of Group B of the ASEAN Under-19 Boys’ Futsal Championship 2025 at the Nonthaburi Hall in Bangkok.
Kyaw Min Khant put Myanmar in front after just five minutes, as Malaysia then replied with the equaliser through Iqbal Hazim a minute later.
The score was 3-1 at the break when Myanmar’s Hae Mar Htay (10th) and Kaung Htet Naing (18th) found the back of the net.
However, the Malaysian lads came back twice off Faris Amsyar (30th) and Adam Rayyan (33rd) for the final score line.
In the meantime, Thailand showed their prowess with a 9-0 whitewash of Brunei Darussalam in Group A.
Phakphum Thiamtee nailed the opener after two minutes to be followed by a brace each from Poompuchid Huab-Um (11th and 32nd), Setthawut Srithong (14th and 20th) and Sorrawit Sirisawa (29th and 29th).
Two other goals for Thailand were scored by Natthaphon Sangkavorn (30th) and Thanakrit Ouansri (31st).
