Malaysia plays its next match against DPR Korea tomorrow. Please find the details of the match below:

DPR Korea has shown that they are a very physical and aggressive team. Coach Lailin Abu Hassan is aware that the physically dominant Koreans may pose problems for his charges but is confident of producing a positive result against them.

“I was very pleased with the way we played against China. We held them till the last 5 minutes of each half before conceding goals. We were very disciplined and stuck to the game plan. In the end, China was just too good for us”, he said.

“We will need to revise our strategy and make use of our chances. Our captain, Surizan Awang Noh, has been ruled out of the tournament. Nevertheless, we hope to have Nurain Hidayah, who was not fielded against China due to injury, back with us for this really important match”, said Lailin.

According to him, ELLYA SYAHIRAH BT ELLIAS, NOOR RUL AZWANI BT ZURAIDEN and NOR AISYAH BT YAAKOB were the standout performers against China and we are looking for them to repeat their performance come Wednesday.

The team had a field practice session today and tested out several variations which they plan to execute against DPR Korea.
