Five-thousand runners took to the Putrajaya Recreational Airfield for the Allianz Pacer Run 2016 at Precinct 6, Putrajaya.
The run which was flagged off at 7am provided the runners with a wonderful running experience for everyone involved.
âWhen we started the Pacer Run, our goal was to get people to run. And now, theyâre having fun doing it. Unlike a 10km or 21km run, the Allianz Pacer Run 2016âs 12km route gives runners different challenges and a median goal they can work towards. We are glad to see everyone come out here today on a nice Sunday morning and just have a blast,â said Susan Ong, Chief Market Management Officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad.
The Allianz Pacer Run 2016âs 12km route featured five categories – Menâs Open, Womenâs Open, Menâs Veteran, Womenâs Veteran and Corporate Team. The Fun Run (6km) was open to all ages. The Corporate Team category also raised RM15, 000 for the Malaysian Council for Rehabilitation.
