Buriram United picked up their seventh Thai League One crown in commanding fashion – with 12 points to spare and with three matches still to play for.

The north east kingpins win this year capped another fine season as they confirmed back to back titles for 2017 and 2018 that was followed by a hat trick in 2013, 2014 and also 2015.

They won their first crown in 2008 and then 2011.

Buriram are still in the running for the Thai FA Cup.

In their last game of the Thai League One, Buriram celebrated their crowning with a 2-0 beating of Police Tero.

Diego Luis Santo put Buriram ahead after just ten minutes before Korakod Wiriyaudomsiri doubled the advantage on 74 minutes.

Buriram’s next match will be against Pattaya United at home.
