#Italian sparkling wine set to spray on the podium as Consorzio Prosecco DOC becomes an official MotoGP™ supplier
Dorna Sports is delighted to announce the beginning of a new era on the podia of the FIM MotoGP™World Championship, with Consorzio Prosecco DOC on board as an official supplier to MotoGP™.
The agreement sees the Italian wine consortium become a partner of the Championship for three years, beginning in 2019.
The Prosecco DOC production area is located in the north east of Italy, split across four provinces of Friuli Venezia Giulia and five of Veneto.
The Consorzio di Tutela aims to coordinate and manage the Denomination of Controlled Origin, enshrining the distinct quality, history and origin of their products – now to become a mainstay of the MotoGP™ podium.
There’s more to the agreement than simply a new era of celebration, however. As well as accompanying riders as they celebrate, Consorzio Prosecco DOC will be a pivotal presence in the MotoGP VIP Village™ and will have trackside advertising at five Grands Prix: the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland, the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, the Motul Grand Prix of Japan and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
At each race, the brands of Prosecco DOC will take centre stage – bringing the best of the wine to the attention of key markets worldwide.
