The Malaysian national Under-16 team who arrived last night in Mannheim, Germany will have an initial test ahead of the Whitsun Cup which begins tomorrow.
The young Malaysian lads will take on the German U16 team national side to give the boys a run.
According to Head Coach, Nor Saiful Zaini this tournament is imperative in finding the right blend for what will form the core of the Project 2020 squad.
“We will play a friendly match against the German U16s today. This will be an initial measurement of standards between both countries. Germany has an amazing development programme and their consistent success in international hockey is sound testament to this. The team is geared up for the event as well as the match today. We will do our best”, he said.
