Fazli Sham 46 and Abdul Muhaimin 92 during the Cub Prix race in Muar

PRESSURE MOUNTING AS CUB PRIX HEADS TO TERENGGANU

Just two weeks after the race in Muar, Johor, the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship paddock heads to Kompleks Sukan Negeri Gong Badak in Terengganu for the fourth round this 22 and 23 May.

The first three rounds has been frantic for the championship, particularly in the CP130 class as it saw three different champions, with Ahmad Fazli Sham (PETRONAS Yamaha Maju Motor) winning in Temerloh, Elly Idzlianizar Ilias (Harian Metro Y-TEQ SCK Honda Racing) taking the honours in Batu Kawan while Mohd Affendi Rosli (PETRONAS Yamaha CKJ) secured the chequered flag in Muar.

The racing has been scintillating but Fazli Sham heads to Terengganu leading the championship standings with 48 points, six points ahead of Elly. Additionally the combined performance of Fazli Sham and teammate, Abdul Muhaimin Roslan who is third in the standings puts Maju Motor on top of the team awards with 96 points, 20 points clear of Harian Metro Y-TEQ SCK Honda Racing.

Maju Motor has been enjoying a strong run in the CP115 category as well following Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin’s success in Muar. The Johor born rider took a commanding victory to end Tengku Amirul Haffiruddin’s (Motul Yamaha YY Pang) hat-trick hopes, slashing the gap to just five points between them. Kasma now heads to Terengganu looking to maintain the same form, eyeing the championship lead for the first time since he stepped up the intermediate class last season.

Meanwhile in the WIRA category, Harith Farhan Baharin (Kozi Yam Honda Racing) is looking to score his first hat-trick for the season after winning the past two rounds in Batu Kawan and Temerloh. Out of all the riders competing in the lightweight class, Harith is the only rider to finish the first three races this season on the podium and he has every reason to believe he can keep the good times rolling at Terengganu this weekend.

Away from the action on track, visitors of the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship in Terengganu will get a chance to win attractive prizes worth up to RM10,000 in the ‘Beli dan Menang Hanya di Cub Prix’ lucky draw contest.

Prizes up for grabs this weekend includes  X-dot Helmet, RK-M Chain-Kits, t-shirts, towels, mugs, coasters, bags, caps, magazine, pens, key-chains, shampoo, facial scrub, from Cub Prix’s corporate partners, Honda, Yamaha, Men’s Biore, Dunlop, Zeneos, Koyoko, Racing Boy, Motodotmania and NGK.

Other prizes to be won are Cub Prix official merchandise namely bandana and caps. All items are exclusive and can’t be purchased at other places except at the Championship’s race venue.

To be entitled for the lucky draw, visitors need to spend a minimum of RM5 and they will get a chop on the lucky draw card. All they need to do is to complete the lucky draw card with eight chops at the venue and exchange it with a lucky draw dip at the official Cub Prix booth. This means visitors must spend a minimum of RM40 for one draw. The lucky draw card is valid for the entire year and it can be used at any of the Cub Prix race venue.
