Thailand made it their fourteenth AFF Futsal Championship crown – seventh in a row – when they demolished Malaysia 4-2 in the final that was played this afternoon at the UNY in Jogjakarta.

And what better to start their romp than having youngster Muhammad Osamanmusa stealing the lead after just two minutes before the Malaysians replied with the equaliser through Mohd Awaluddin Mat Nawi nine minutes later.

But Thailand would head into the dressing room with their noses in front with veteran Jetsada Chudech 16th minute strike.

Five minutes into the second half and the Thais were 3-1 up through Apiwat Chaemchoroen as Malaysia then replied with their second goal off Mohd Khairul Effendy Mohd Bahrin on 34 minutes.

However, Thailand’s Chaivat Jangrajang put the game beyond contention with their fourth goal of the game four minutes to the end.
