Sabah’s Christian Didier Chin was awarded 2 awards at the first LTAM awards night in KL. 10 awards were given to top players in each category of the 12, 14, 16 and open categories for boys and girls.
Christian Chin won 2 categories: the top under 16 boys player and the most improved player for 2016.
With that 2 awards and winning the under 16 junior masters tournament, Christian ended the 2016 year on a high best performance note.
Two years ago Christian top the ATF under 14 ranking. He has also performed well in his ITF doubles and singles performance.
The other players who followed his footsteps are boy Ryan Chee who finished with the semis in the boys 12 under.
In the girls group Nurshaneem Shamsuddin also did well by finishing in the semis as well.
STA President Johnson Koh was at the matches and awards dinner to be with them. Coach Shamsuddin Mustamin accompanied them to the tournament. At the awards dinner Stefan Walter Alex and Azeley Jumatli was also present.
