On the eve of the prestigious Maybank Championship, European Tour winners, Dean Burmester and Richard McEvoy, took precious time off to join 40 young golfers in the 100PLUS Junior Clinic at the Saujana Golf and Country Club this evening.

Burmester is a 30-year-old from South Africa who turned pro in 2009, and bagged his first European Tour win (Tshwane Open) in 2017. McEvoy on the other hand is a 40-year-old English professional who snatched his maiden European Tour victory at the Porsche European Open in 2018.

The clinic, organised in conjunction with the Maybank Championship, provided the juniors with the rare opportunity to get close to the professional players and pick up some important pointers in the process. It was an even more memorable day for the juniors when the world-renowned Ryder Cup trophy was displayed at the clinic.

“Today’s clinic with the pros was an amazing opportunity for the juniors and we hope they will be inspired to be better players,” said F&N Sponsorship & Activation Manager, Engku Isyamuddin Tuan Losin today. “All the players competing in the tournament this week will be provided with 100PLUS which will help them remain hydrated as they battle for the honours here.”

100PLUS, the nation’s No.1 isotonic drink, is the Official Beverage for the Maybank Championship.

100PLUS currently supports the Football Association of Malaysia, the Badminton Association of Malaysia and the National Sports Council. The beverage is also a sponsor of the Malaysian Football League and the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon.

100PLUS presently supports several leading national athletes like Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Goh Jin Wei and Khairul Jantan who are 100PLUS Brand Ambassadors.
