A 5-2 rout of Green Archers United at the PFF National Training Centre not only gave Mendiola their biggest win to date but also saw them picked up only their second win in the Philippines Football League (PFL) 2019.
Ash Flores slammed in a double in the seventh and 15th minutes to put Mendiola 2-0 up before Soul Mdepe (36th minute) and Mar Diano (45th) add two more for Mendiola to be 4-0 at the break.
Flores then completed his hat trick on 54 minute strike as Green Archers finally showed up with two strikes Pao Bugas (87th minute) and Freddy Mbang (90th), but it was too late for a revival.
The win allowed Mendiola to stay on fifth with just seven points from eight matches played as Green Archers a rung above with 14 points from ten games.
With just seven teams in the league, they will play each other in two rounds of home and away matches.
