Defending champions Boeung Ket took over the top spot in the Metfone C-League 2018 when they title aspirants NagaWorld 3-2 this week to close the first half of the season as leaders.

At the centre of the victory for Boeung Ket was a controversial penalty right at the end which gave them the full points after the score was tied 2-2.

Mat Yamin gave Boeung Ket with the lead after just fifteen 15 minutes before George Bisan’s playback to captain Kouch Sokumpheak put the score back on level terms.

Paul Omogba the gave Boeung Ket the lead for the second time on the night as Naga replied through Mathew Osa.

Then came the penalty from Brazilian Maycon Calijuri which had Naga up in arms before they conceded the goal to maintain Boeung Ket’s unbeaten run in 11 matches.

Elsewhere, Ministry of National Defense thumped  Commiisary of National Police 4-0 as Asia Europe United gunned Electricite du Cambodge 2-0.
