Local outdoor, sports and fitness concern Universal Fitness & Leisure Sdn Bhd (UFL) today announced its role as sponsors for the 2019 installation of Le Tour De Langkawi. The internationally renowned cycling event has been an annual staple in the national sporting events calendar and will see Igloo, the No.1 Cooler Brand in the World, as its Official Cooler Box this year. Igloo has been exclusively distributed by UFL in Malaysia since 2016.

“Igloo is the largest manufacturer of cooler boxes in the world. This year for LTDL, we will be providing 2 cooler models; Igloo Marine Ultra 48qt and the Igloo Legend 24 amounting to RM25k in total sponsorship value. Our Igloo coolers will be used by technical teams to keep their beverages cool throughout the stages of the race,” said UFL Managing Director, Dato Radha Krishnan.

“With Igloo coolers, it’s as though you have a portable fridge with you on the go. I can say with full confidence that beverages and refreshments served from our coolers will remain cold and fresh during the race and will quench the thirst of anyone especially during this hot spell,” he added.

No stranger to the sports industry, UFL is known to be largely proactive in sponsoring and co-organising local sporting events. UFL has also collaborated with LTDL during its inaugural in 1997 and subsequent years following till 2019.

“This national sporting event has gained global recognition and widespread international exposure over the years thanks to one man, our beloved Prime Minister, YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir, who breathed life into it many years ago.
