Defending champions Ceres Negros FC recorded their second win in as many matches in the Philippines Football League (PFL) 2018 when they whitewashed JPV Marikina FC, 3-0 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
Takumi Uesato was the toast of Ceres Negros when he grabbed a brace with goals in the 13th and 31st minute.
Spanish Striker Bies Envenido Marano then nailed the third goal for Ceres Negros with a strike in the 64th minute.
In the meantime, Stallion Laguna FC relied on a late rally to fend off Kaya FC, 3-1 at the Binan Football Stadium as Global Cebu FC drew with Davao Aguilas FC 2-2.
