Cambodia faltered in their latest friendly at home when they failed to hold on to their early lead to concede a 2-1 loss to Singapore at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

The team under Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda had taken the lead  when Singapore defender Ho Wai Loon turned the cross from Sath Rosib into his own net after just 18 minutes.

But Singapore came back stronger in the second half as 18-year-old Jacob Mahler nailed the equaliser from close range – making good on the cross from Zulfahmi Ariffin.

With fifteen minutes left on the clock, Ikhsan Fandi fired in the winner to give Singapore head coach Fandi Ahmad his third win in four matches.
