The Terengganu FA management has called for an emergency meeting after both its teams were shown the exit in the FA Cup competition – with the Terengganu state team going down to a shock 3-1 defeat to Premier League’s PKNS FC while T-Team (Terengganu FC II) fell to Pahang in second round matches on Friday.

Terengganu FA president Datuk Wan Nizam Wan Abdul Hamid will chair the meeting which will also conduct a post-mortem on the FA Cup exit plus the performance of both teams in the league.

In the league Terengganu scored a lucky 1-0 win over Penang at home but fell to Kedah in an away match. T-Team drew 2-2 with Pahang away but lost 2-0 to reigning champions JDT at home.

The East Coast powerhouse were expected to go far in the FA Cup competition this year after the Terengganu state government pumped in more money to increase the budgets of both teams.

At the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca the 3-1 defeat by PKNS FC sent shock waves in Terengganu as the Selangor outfit had lost both their opening two Premier League matches – to Police (1-0) and Malacca (2-1).

At the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan, T-Team took Pahang to extra time but could not stop the Elephants from a 2-1 to advance.

Penang, who mauled Pahang in a league match at the City Stadium with Faiz Subri hitting headlines worldwide with a wonder goal in the 4-1 win seem to be still basking in glory and were brought down to earth by club side Kuantan FA.

The Pahang outfit scored an emphatic 4-2 win over the Panthers at the same venue to earn a third round clash against Perak away.

Crippled Perak, with a long list of injuries to key players, came back from a goal down to hand Sarawak a 3-1 defeat – leaving the Crocs win-less in all three matches in all competitions so far.

Kelantan survived a torrid time in Kota Bahru before clinching a 1-0 win over UKM FC with an 83rd minute goal by Blazhe Illijoski. In the third round Kelantan will be away to Kedah, 8-0 winners over minnows Megah Murni at home.

Felda United sitting on the top of the Super League with maximum points after two matches hit the winning trail in the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Ipoh FA at Stadium Tun Abdul Razak in Jengka on Saturday.

In the third round the plantation giants will face PKNS FC.

Selangor face Police in the third round. The Red Giants overcame Air Asia FC 2-0 in an away match.

JDT will face Negri Sembilan at home in the third round after blasting Premier League suprise leaders UiTM FC 5-0. Negri Sembilan registered a 2-0 win over Sungai Ara FC away.

Sabah put their miserable start to the Premier League campaign with a 3-0 win over MOF FC at home and will battle Armed Forces in the third round – also at home. Demoted Armed Forces came off 3-2 winners over Pahang outfit Shahzan Muda after extra time.
